We love to make an annual celebration of this incredible point in the calendar with a beer specifically designed for just this situation, and Silk Chord continues that tradition with gusto. Setting the foundations up with an off the beaten track hop variety in Cashmere, this beer builds on a wonderful lemon-curd base, backed up with smooth bitterness from its usage on the hot side, before an additional flourish of Cashmere and Polly’s stalwart Simcoe on the cold side brings all manner of bright limes, melon, stonefruit, and peach sweetness to the party. Set back at a sessionable 4.8%, this one is for sharing good times with pals.
